Gyokuro is a high-quality Japanese green tea that is grown in the shade for about 20 to 30 days before harvest. This shading process slows plant growth, increases the chlorophyll and amino acid content, especially L-Theanine, and reduces bitterness, resulting in a sweet, umami-rich flavor. This careful cultivation method makes Gyokuro one of Japan's most noble and expensive teas.

GABA 

GABA-Gyokuro is a speciality Gyokuro tea produced through a unique oxidation process in which the tea is exposed to a nitrogen-rich environment. This process increases the content of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a natural amino acid known to calm the nervous system and reduce stress. Our GABA-Gyokuro has the highest theanine and GABA levels of any tea currently on the market. GABA has been shown to have calming and stress-reducing properties.

It is scientifically proven that GABA levels over 350mg per 100g promote restful sleep and have stress-reducing effects.
